Representatives of Alatau City Authority took part in Global Green Growth Week 2026, an international forum organised by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). During the visit, they held talks with Korean companies and international organisations on the development of energy infrastructure and the implementation of investment projects in Alatau City.
One of the key outcomes was the announcement at the GGGI roundtable of a partnership to carry out a feasibility study for a project involving the South Korean company Doosan Enerbility. The study will assess the technical and economic parameters of the potential project, as well as the options for implementing it in Alatau City.
As part of the working programme, representatives of Alatau City Authority visited Doosan Enerbility’s production facilities, reviewed its turbine manufacturing technologies and discussed the prospects for cooperation in the energy sector.
A meeting was also held with the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND). The parties reviewed the next steps for the K-Smart Town project, which provides for the development of a modern urban environment using advanced urban planning and digital solutions.
In addition, representatives of Alatau City Authority held talks with GGGI’s Asia department and its public-private partnership division. The discussions covered possible areas of cooperation, including the preparation of infrastructure projects and the engagement of international expertise through public-private partnership mechanisms.
Participation in Global Green Growth Week 2026 continues Alatau City Authority’s work to attract international technology partners and prepare the projects needed for the sustainable development of the new city.
