As part of the official visit of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Federal Republic of Germany, Alatau City Authority held a series of talks with companies on delivering investment and infrastructure projects in Alatau City. Six memoranda of cooperation were signed as a result of the business programme.
On 28–29 September, representatives of Alatau City Authority held five bilateral meetings with Myron AG (Santa Capital), Rhenus, D.A.R. Metall AG, Wilo and Siemens Healthineers. The talks covered projects in logistics, waste processing, engineering and medical infrastructure, the localisation of production and digital finance.
With Myron AG (Santa Capital), the parties discussed pilot projects on the tokenisation of real-world assets and opportunities to attract cross-border financing for projects in Alatau City.
The talks with Rhenus reviewed the prospects for creating class A warehouse facilities and a distribution centre, with subsequent integration with the company's existing terminal at Baiserke station. The possible use of unmanned technologies for delivering cargo to the terminal was also discussed.
With D.A.R. Metall AG, the parties explored the prospects for creating a complex for processing household and industrial waste, with the potential for Alatau City enterprises to use the recovered secondary raw materials. The company also expressed interest in developing the production of composite materials for the construction industry.
The meeting with Wilo addressed the creation of a service and engineering centre for pumping equipment in Alatau City. The project provides for equipment maintenance and the training of specialists, with the prospect of further expanding the localisation of production.
With Siemens Healthineers, the parties reviewed possible areas of strategic cooperation in healthcare, including the opening of the company's office and service centre in Alatau City and its participation in developing the city's medical cluster.
“Following the talks with German companies, we see concrete interest in building the city's logistics, engineering, production and social infrastructure. The agreements reached lay the groundwork for working the projects through in detail, determining the mechanisms for their delivery and bringing German technologies and expertise into the development of Alatau City,” said Alisher Abdykadyrov, Chief Executive Officer of the Alatau City Authority special management organisation.
At the Kazakh-German Business Forum, Alatau City Authority signed six memoranda of cooperation with German companies. The agreements provide for work on projects to create a Wilo service centre, to develop logistics infrastructure together with Rhenus, to process household and industrial waste with D.A.R. Metall AG, to train healthcare specialists with SBP-Management, to cooperate with Schlaich Bergermann Partner (SBP) in solar energy, construction and the review of design solutions, and for cooperation between KazPetFood and Wagner Feedmill & Silo Plants on supplying equipment for a pet food plant.
During the business programme, representatives of Rhenus, Wilo and D.A.R. Metall AG confirmed their interest in delivering the respective projects in Alatau City.
The agreements reached are aimed at attracting German technologies, expertise and investment, and at developing modern engineering, logistics, environmental and social infrastructure in Alatau City.
