Alatau City Authority has signed agreements with BCC Hub and Astana Data Exchange as part of AI & Digital Bridge 2026

Alatau City Authority has signed two memoranda aimed at developing the new digital economy of Alatau City. Together with BCC Hub, tokenisation pilot projects are to be launched, while with Astana Data Exchange (ADX) the parties will work on infrastructure that will make it possible to securely exchange data, assess it and use it as an economic asset.

Under the cooperation with BCC Hub, the parties intend to identify specific tokenisation pilot projects. Alatau City Authority will provide organisational and coordination support, while BCC Hub will contribute technological and product expertise, including experience of working with financial institutions.

For potential investors, this area opens up opportunities to test new mechanisms for working with real-world assets and digital financial instruments. A special regulatory and digital environment is already taking shape in Alatau City, one strand of which is building infrastructure for the tokenisation of real-world assets.

The agreement with Astana Data Exchange provides for work on a digital environment for creating, securely exchanging, assessing and economically using data products. In particular, the parties are considering approaches to assessing the quality and value of data, to accounting for it and to using it as an economic asset.

The practical significance of such infrastructure for the city lies in the ability to use high-quality data when creating digital services and managing the urban environment. For business it may create a new market of digital products and services, and for investors it may open additional avenues for technology projects.

“Today we are moving from concepts to the practical design of specific mechanisms, from the tokenisation of real-world assets to building a data economy. For business and investors this is a chance to test new models and products, and for the city it is a way to create modern services and a more effective management system based on technology and data,” said Bayan Konyrbayev, Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer of Alatau City Authority.

Cooperation with BCC Hub and Astana Data Exchange will become part of the emerging digital ecosystem of Alatau City. The next stage will be to define specific scenarios and pilot projects for practical implementation. The international AI & Digital Bridge 2026 forum is taking place in Astana on 1–3 October and brings together technology companies, investors, entrepreneurs, developers and representatives of state institutions.
