Requirements

  • Education: higher technical qualification (civil engineering / industrial and civil construction / project management);
  • Work experience: 5–7 years' experience in project controls (Project Controls / Planning / Scheduling) within infrastructure construction (roads, bridges, utility networks, large-scale land development, energy);
  • Software: Oracle Primavera P6 — expert level (essential); MS Project — advanced level; MS Excel — expert level (complex formulas, Power Query, writing VBA macros, working with databases);
  • Language skills: English — Upper-Intermediate / Advanced (ability to negotiate fluently, review contracts, draft claims and present schedules to international investors and the board of directors);
  • Professional knowledge: in-depth understanding of PMI / AACE methodologies (Earned Value Management, S-Curves, WBS); knowledge of contractual provisions relating to time management.

Responsibilities

Schedule and network planning

  • Developing, updating and finalising comprehensive, integrated schedules for Levels I–IV in Oracle Primavera P6 and MS Project;
  • Identifying and analysing the critical path (Critical Path Method — CPM), milestones and technical dependencies;
  • Resource allocation and levelling (Resource Loading & Leveling), calculating the physical volume of work completed and earned value (EVM — Earned Value Management).

Automation and analytics (Advanced Excel & Data)

  • Creating automated reporting models, dashboards and data exports from Primavera P6 / MS Project using MS Excel and VBA (macros);
  • Variance analysis, estimated time to completion (EAC/ETC) forecasting and "What-If" scenario modelling;
  • Integration of schedule data with budgets and actual costs.

Infrastructure-specific knowledge and on-site supervision

  • Understanding of infrastructure construction cycles (earthworks, utility networks, linear structures, road and transport infrastructure, power supply);
  • Coordination of contractors and EPC contractors' work; verification of their network schedules for realism and compliance with the contract;
  • Participating in claims management (Claims Management / Extension of Time — EOT), analysing the causes of schedule delays.

Communication and reporting (in English and Russian)

  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports for investors, management and international partners and consultants;
  • Conducting business correspondence, chairing meetings and presenting schedules to clients and EPC contractors in English.

Key competencies (soft skills)

  • Strong analytical skills and systematic thinking;
  • Ability to work with large datasets and distil them into payment schedules and timelines that are clear to senior management;
  • Resilience under pressure and firmness in defending the project's interests against contractors.
